Repair and Restoration

Bring in your sick or dead instrument, and I will bring it back to life.  Free estimate and consultation.

My specialty is to find violins, some that are very old and unrecognizable, and turn them into beautiful sounding instruments.  What was called a 'cheap' violin 50 years ago can be made into a fine instrument today. The secret is in the woods that were used then, some grades of which are extinct today. So, the instrument that you have stored in your closet, or in your dusty attic could very well be something of value to a player who is in search of 'the perfect' instrument.

There are thousands of 'tricks of the trade' learned after decades of consistent practice and correspondence with other luthiers. My repair services extend over a large segment of instrument types, even some basic brass and woodwind repair. My services are guaranteed, and you are welcome to 'pick my brain'.  I just hope I'll not bore you with too many details!
